Approve 71 Vancouver

This blog served as a major organizing tool for southwest Washington opposition to Referendum 71 in 2009, the first time that any US general election expanded the rights of gays and lesbians by popular vote. Based on election results for Initiative 677 in 1998, the referendum was expected to lose in Clark County by a significant margin. Marriage Equality Town Hall 6:30 pm Wed 7 March

Ty Stober of Washington United for Marriage shall hold a town hall to discuss the current status of marriage equality. Signed into law on February 13th, marriage equality is being opposed by initiative and referendum in 2012.
